I feel like I’ve been sitting on this forever, but the cover and title have finally been announced from the publisher, so I can finally shout it from the rooftops!
My short story, “Salt,” will be included in a sapphic horror anthology from Dead Fox Publishing.
This story was out of my comfort zone, but turned out to be (imo) one of my best ones yet.
About
“Salt” is a sapphic gothic horror tale inspired by Carmilla, but with a bloodthirsty siren instead of a vampire.
Nora dreams of drowning.
When she wakes, her skin is cold, her lungs ache, and her mouth tastes of saltwater. But it’s not the sea that haunts her. It’s the girl she dreams of: golden-haired, beautiful, always out of reach.
Until the day a shipwreck washes her ashore.
Her name is Serena. She’s been here before.
And this time, she won’t leave without claiming what’s hers.
What to Expect
- Mentions of drowning
- Some blood/gore
- W/W romance
- Subtle nods to Carmilla by J. Sheridan Le Fanu
If you want to read my story or support this publisher, you can pre-order a copy of this anthology before it publishes June 5. I get a small percentage of royalties from this one, so your purchase will be much appreciated! It will be available in all formats (e-book, paperback, hardback).

As always, thank you for reading! I can’t wait to haunt your inbox with more news and stories this year.
